The Route

We'll actually be following two routes:  while Asterix heads up the Inside Passage to Juneau, our chase car will be driving up Vancouver Island, meeting Asterix in various harbors.

Day 1:  Des Moines to Bainbridge Island:  17 nm

A short sail to visit friends on Bainbridge Island, mooring at the Winslow City Float.

Day 2:  Bainbridge Island to Port Townsend:  39 nm

Through Port Townsend Canal, mooring at Point Hudson Marina.

Day 3:  Port Townsend to Sidney, BC:  45 nm

Two day layover

Day 5:  Sidney to Silva Bay:  38 nm

Through Trincomali Channel

Day 6: Silva Bay to Deep Cove:  50nm

Moored at Deep Cove Government Dock.

Day 7:  Deep Cove to Comox:  14nm

Moored at Comox Government Dock

Day 8:  Comox to Campbell River:  34nm

Day 9:  Campbell River to Rock Bay:  23 nm

Included a refueling stop in Brown Cove

Day 10:  Rock Bay to Telegraph Cove:  56 nm

Day 11:  Telegraph Cove to Sointula:  13 nm

Asterix will be staying in Sointula for a while.

Day 1:  Sointula, prepping the boat, watching fog
