We jury-rigged a gravity-feed fuel system for the engine, consisting of a 5 gallon jerry can in the cockpit with the fuel line from an outboard motor (with squeeze bulb hand pump for priming) plumbed into the fuel line on the engine. It works.
Left Hunt Inlet about 11:00 am and arrived in Porpoise Harbour, Port Edward, about 10 miles away, around 2:00 pm. Port Edward is the industrial suburb of Prince Rupert, with freight trains going by the marina every couple hours, a fish packing plant next door, and the horizon dominated by grain elevators, coal piles, and what appears to be a cement factory.
